Athena

alled This year, we had to do a project that researched a Greek god. I chose Athena, the goddess of wisdom. I had to research five facts about Athena, and a story related to her. I chose to do the tale of Athena and Arachne. In the myth, Arachne, a young girl, once claimed that she could weave better than Athena. When the goddess heard that, she challenged Arachne to a contest in weaving. At the contest, Arachne wove a wonderful tapestry, but Athena wove a better one. The mighty Zeus, who was judging the contest, declared Athena the winner. As a punishment, Athena turned Arachne into a spider.

This project I am really passionate about, since I really like the Greek gods. I was allowed to choose any facts I wanted, and any story, as long as the god was somehow related to the myth. Doing this activity was a lot of fun. It was interactive and educational. It gave me an indepth knowledge of Greek Gods.
