Edmodo

 

One of the technological tools that we use is Edmodo.com. Basically, Edmodo is a website used by students and teachers. It is an interactive website that helps students contact each other at home, contact their teachers, and find assignments that are due. It can be used only for educational purposes and not for socializing. The teachers post assignments for the students here. It also notifies students about their grades on assignments. It also has parents' portal to see their children's assignments and grades. It's kind of like an educational Facebook.

 

I find Edmodo very useful because I feel I'm always connected to my classmates and my teachers. I use it all the time. It is especially very helpful while doing projects. Students can make their own private groups to work on the team projects. But everything is still visible to the teachers. For example, for our last project, named "The Ecohouse" we needed a small group to discuss about our project. So, our awesome science teacher created a group for us. Without Edmodo, we wouldn't be able to finish the project. Sometimes, my classmates put some links about different subjects so that we share our knowledge.That is why Edmodo is the most important tool we have.
