This project was the most creative I have recieved all year. We had to choose a natural disaster that happened in history, research it, and write a story from the perspective of someone living at that time. The catch was, it had to be like a magazine article, with subheadings, and tiny articles inside of the narrative. This was quite difficult, because since I wasn't there when the event I chose (The 1906 San Fransisco Earthquake). This means that based on whatever evidence I could find, I would have to translate it into the narrative.

This is a project I am proud of. I showed that I can stretch my mind to find a way to present good work, even if I don't know how.  I have the ability to visualize the situation I have limited information about. I worked very hard on this project, and I am glad my work showed it. This is some of my best work in ELA because I was hard-pressed for this project. It is difficult to write about a real event, from a fictional person's point of view. The hardest part was integrating the facts into the narrative. But by persevering and working hard, I was able to conquer my obstacles.
