Charity Fair Project

 

The Charity Fair project was one of the best projects I have ever done. To complete it, we had to create an item to sell at the next Student Exhibition Night. I decided to sell a food, called 'Spicy Potato Bites'. I actually made them by accident. I wanted hashbrowns with my breakfast the day before. I asked my mom to help, but instead of shredding the potato, we chopped it. We added some lemon and some spice, and the Spicy Potato Bites were born. I really enjoyed eating my potato bites, and so did others. I sold out in the first ten minutes! The next day, I brought more, and sold out then, as well! Total, I made 19 dollars to donate to a charity of my choice. I chose to donate to a Indian charity that helps people who have eye problems. It is called Sunkara (sun-ka-RA) Eye Foundation.

 

I really found that this project was challenging, because I had to fill out a spreadsheet. But this project let me have some creativity. I really like projects I can let my creativity and imagination run wild. I think this project shows that I can be a creative person, but can be serious about specific things.
